This research was motivated by learning to write in elementary school students are not able to spend what they feel, especially in learning to write poetry. Where to write this poem is not able to express their thoughts and opinions into a poem they wrote, they are not motivated in learning to write poetry. The purpose of this study was to describe Poetry Writing Improvement Model Non Example Example In Class III Elementary School Students 01 Ulak South Reefs north of Padang District. Learning activities focused on each stage of the learning starts from pramenulis stage, while writing and pascamenulis. Type of research is a class act. This study uses qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study conducted two cycles. The subjects were elementary school third grade students with student numbers 20 people. As an observer in the implementation of learning to write poetry with a model example non example that there are three phases: pramenulis, the writing stage, and stage pascamenulis. Research procedures implemented through the planning, implementation, and reflection. The results empirically scored 73 first cycle and second cycle 83.
